This week, Student Leadership will be hosting a Winter Carnival at Wabanaki School to send us off into March Break! Between February 24th and 28th, there will be a daily theme, school-wide scavenger hunts, and games in the pods. There will be some small prizes available. Wabanaki School Families, The Home and School Association is excited to host an Open House to showcase our beautiful new school on Thursday, February 20th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Join us for an evening of: In addition, the Home and School Association will be holding a silent auction during the event. Proceeds will directly support school-based activities, such as year-end celebrations, teacher appreciation events, and more
Wabanaki School will be hosting its second dance of the school year. This dance’s theme is Valentine’s / Neon Glow dance. To purchase a ticket or buy concessions (canteen snacks, pizza, games), you must use School Cash Online. You will not be able to purchase tickets at the dance. Tickets are available until February 12th. Finally, to avoid clutter during drop-off and pick-up, we are asking that you use the following entrances and exits: Grade 6 students can be dropped off and picked up from the bus pad entrance.Grade 7 students will be using the main doors, please use the Kiss n’ Drop.Grade 8 students will be using the specialty hallway entrance which is situated just before the first stop sign before entering the school. Our Fall dance was a huge success, and we hope to see our students at the Valentine Dance.
Wabanaki School is participating in the 25th annual Fill the Bus campaign! Last Saturday, Student Leadership and staff were at Sobeys collection non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the city’s food banks. The school will be collecting items and donations internally until December 18th. Way to go, Suns!
